Château Montrose
Called by professionals in Bordeaux - Latour of Saint-Estèphe, Château Montrose has had a Second Cru Classé since 1855 and is one of Saint-Estèphe's most important wineries. Familiar with the potential of terroir, Martin and Olivier Bouygue decided to make a huge investment in total modernization at every stage of production - from vine to glass. As a result, since 2006 they have been making exceptional wine. Château Montrose has 95 hectares in a plot facing the mouth of the Gironde River, planted with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. The wines continue the tradition of the "classic" style for this appeal, with characteristic richness and strength. Famous for their aging potential, they still manage to retain their typical finesse.
