Château Figeac
Chateau Figeac is not just an old mansion, it is antique. The ancient Romans valued terroir by planting the first vines and giving their family name - Figeacus. Wine has been made in this place for 2000 years. Due to the higher Cabernet share, the wine is often described as a representative of the Medoc style in St. Emilion. Since 2010, Figeac has been run by Comte Eric d’Aramon and his wife. It is located in the northwestern part of the appeal and borders the Cheval Blanc. Its 40 hectares are sown with Cabernet Sauvignon 35%, Merlot 30% and Cabernet Franc 35% on a deep layer of gravel. The wine matures in 100% new oak for 18-22 months. It takes him at least ten years before he is fully developed. Figeac is classified 1er Grand Cru Classé (B).
