Chateau Avli Pinot Noir 2020

Art. # 5565
Beautiful, clear and sparkling red color. Fine and elegant nose with distinct aromas of raspberry, black cherry and sour cherry, transitioning into gentle vanilla and spicy notes. Soft, structured and juicy body with pleasant silky tannins and a long memorable finish. The wine pairs wonderfully with light meats, roasted salmon and tuna, crispy duck meat, as well as Italian specialties.

Chateau Avli

Chateau Avli

Thracian valley

Thracian valley

In this region, which includes Southern Bulgaria, the climate is moderately continental, protected from the northern winds thanks to the Balkan Mountains, with a good distribution of rainfall. It includes the central parts of the Thracian Plain and parts of Sakar. Most of the red grape varieties are concentrated in this area. The varieties grown include 'Mavrud', 'Merlot', 'Cabernet Sauvignon', 'Red Muscat', 'Pamid', and others. The climatic conditions of the region favor the production of rich, dense, memorable red wines from the varieties 'Cabernet Sauvignon' and 'Mavrud'. Good wines from the local variety 'Mavrud' are particularly valued because they combine the aroma and taste of red berries, spices, and herbs.

Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is the dominant red wine grape of Burgundy, a challenge for every single vine grower and wine producer. It can be found in Germany (as Spätburgunder), Italy (Pino Nero), Chile, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the USA. The wines show a specific aroma of red berries and cherry depending on the vinification method employed - from fresh red cherries in lighter wines to stewed black cherries in weightier examples, many of them also showing hints of earthy flavours.
