Tempus Vini Gumza Meteriz 2023
Art. # 6628A different and unorthodox reading of the Gamza variety from Novo Selo, Vidin. A different face of this local variety from Northwestern Bulgaria and the first harvest of this amazing wine is already a fact! The vineyards are about 50 years old, the yield is controlled as it is hand-picked in mid-September.
The color is deep, dark ruby with violet hues. Aroma and deep concentration of syrupy raspberries, blueberries, confit cherries, smoke, licorice, and sweet tobacco. The taste is initially soft, fruit-intense with a great concentration of dried forest fruits. Medium to full-bodied with a warm finish of dark chocolate and coffee. Enjoy in the company of semi-mature cheeses like Comté, Morbier, and Pecorino, as well as roasted pork meats, game with blueberry and gravy sauce.

Vidin Gamza
Vidinska Gamza is a young name on the wine market in Bulgaria. Created by owners of over 600 decares of vineyards in the area of the village of Novo Selo, Vidin district, it embodies the best traditions of the Novosel winemakers, famous for the production of high quality wines. The owners of Vidinska Gamza grow and cultivate more than 600 decares of their own vineyards, located on the hills of the southern Danube bank, around the village of Novo Selo. The temperate continental climate in the region, the hot summer and the large number of sunny days, as well as the ventilation of the hills with the plantations are ideal even for the "whimsical" variety Gamza.

Danubian Plain
This region extends from the banks of the Danube River to the slopes of the Stara Planina, encompassing the fertile Danube plain. It is characterized by a moderate continental climate with hot summers and a large number of sunny days. The varieties 'Muscat Ottonel', 'Gamza', 'Cabernet Sauvignon', 'Merlot', 'Chardonnay', 'Aligoté', 'Pamid', and others are widespread. Here, dry white wines, sparkling wines made using classical technology, and quality red wines are produced, which are characterized by a rich fruity aroma and fresh taste. A typical local variety is Gamza, also known in Serbia and Hungary as Kadarka. This is a red variety mainly grown in the Vidin and Pleven regions, which ripens at the end of September and produces fresh, fruity, and pleasantly tart wines with a characteristic aroma of raspberries and forest fruits.
