Gămza Tempus Vini 2022

Art. # 5189
The harvesting is done manually in boxes of 5 kilograms and we left them in a ventilated room with relative humidity. After that, the wine is transferred to two French oak barrels for 4 months, with the grapes sitting on the fine lees for greater richness and character. The aroma is captivating, deep, and smoky. A bouquet of saltiness, cherry confit, ripe blueberries, and mocha. The taste is surprisingly fruity (cherries, blueberries, and wild strawberries), rounded and concentrated at first, followed by medium-intensity acids and soft tannins. The finish is slightly dry, with a lot of concentration and aftertaste. A wine that can be drunk now or aged for 5-7 years. A total of 690 bottles produced.

More about this product

Vidin Gamza

Vidin Gamza

Vidinska Gamza is a young name on the wine market in Bulgaria. Created by owners of over 600 decares of vineyards in the area of the village of Novo Selo, Vidin district, it embodies the best traditions of the Novosel winemakers, famous for the production of high quality wines. The owners of Vidinska Gamza grow and cultivate more than 600 decares of their own vineyards, located on the hills of the southern Danube bank, around the village of Novo Selo. The temperate continental climate in the region, the hot summer and the large number of sunny days, as well as the ventilation of the hills with the plantations are ideal even for the "whimsical" variety Gamza.

Danubian Plain

Danubian Plain

This region extends from the banks of the Danube River to the slopes of the Stara Planina, encompassing the fertile Danube plain. It is characterized by a moderate continental climate with hot summers and a large number of sunny days. The varieties 'Muscat Ottonel', 'Gamza', 'Cabernet Sauvignon', 'Merlot', 'Chardonnay', 'Aligoté', 'Pamid', and others are widespread. Here, dry white wines, sparkling wines made using classical technology, and quality red wines are produced, which are characterized by a rich fruity aroma and fresh taste. A typical local variety is Gamza, also known in Serbia and Hungary as Kadarka. This is a red variety mainly grown in the Vidin and Pleven regions, which ripens at the end of September and produces fresh, fruity, and pleasantly tart wines with a characteristic aroma of raspberries and forest fruits.
