Blush Rose Rikat Dimyat Mavrud Zagrey 2023

Art. # 6667

The idea behind this rosé is to create an interesting and refreshing wine with minimal intervention. Hand-harvested grapes, with gentle pressing of whole grapes. Spontaneous fermentation of the grape juice in the stainless steel container. The color is beautiful - a delicate pink. The body is soft, medium to full, harmonious and spicy on the finish. A rosé with a noble profile.

Zagreus Winery started in 1998 with the planting of its first vineyards in the Plovdiv field, not far from the town of Parvomay. Zagreus from ancient Greek means "the great hunter" and is considered the prototype of the god of wine and merriment Dionysus. At the moment, about 120 ha of Mavrud, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah grape varieties are being cultivated. In 2010 Zagreus decided to convert to organic production and in 2013 they received their certificate. A curious fact is that Zagreus is the only winery in Bulgaria to also produce grape seed oil.

Thracian valley

Thracian valley

In this region, which includes Southern Bulgaria, the climate is moderately continental, protected from the northern winds thanks to the Balkan Mountains, with a good distribution of rainfall. It includes the central parts of the Thracian Plain and parts of Sakar. Most of the red grape varieties are concentrated in this area. The varieties grown include 'Mavrud', 'Merlot', 'Cabernet Sauvignon', 'Red Muscat', 'Pamid', and others. The climatic conditions of the region favor the production of rich, dense, memorable red wines from the varieties 'Cabernet Sauvignon' and 'Mavrud'. Good wines from the local variety 'Mavrud' are particularly valued because they combine the aroma and taste of red berries, spices, and herbs.
